Dear Chief Justice Freudenthal,

My name is Matthew Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in learning history, public policy, social justice, and many other different subjects.  In these subjects, I like to learn the importance of making Civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and use checks and balances in the judicial system to protect civil liberties while reduce crime.  Chief Justice Fruendenthal, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as First Lady of Wyoming and your role as current judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming to be very inspiring to me. Also I wanted to explain how I find your husband former Governor Dave Fruendenthal’s work to be very inspiring.

When you were First Lady of Wyoming, I liked on how you worked with Governor Fruendenthal on working to push to make Civil Rights stronger by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, push to fund women including minorities businesses to help assist them to compete in the economy, and expand laws to combat against hate-crime to help protect minorities including people who are different from being targeted.  Another thing that I liked about your work as First Lady of Wyoming was on how you worked with Native American communities to find ways to help them with healthcare along with expressing the need for funds to help make their community stronger.  In December 2009, I was very proud on how you accepted President Obama to nominate you to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming and finally being confirmed by the U.S. Senate.  In May 2010, I was amazed on how you made history by becoming the first woman to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming.  In your current position as Chief Justice of the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming and as Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming, I really like on how you are a continuous supporter of Civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights,  express the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination, and push for tough sentencing for people who commit hate-crime to help protect minorities including people who are different.  When Governor Dave Freudenthal was 31^st Governor of Wyoming,  I really appreciated on how he worked hard to improve Civil Rights by expand laws to help protect people with disabilities from being discriminated,  work to help encourage businesses to hire women including minorities, and support the need to combat against hate-crime.  Another thing that I liked about his work when he served as Governor was on how he worked with Native American communities to help improve their healthcare along with many other initiative, push for renewable energy including energy-efficient products to reduce pollution while push to reduce addiction to oil with gas, and push for education reform to help student with disabilities along with other programs to help youth get help on learning different subjects.

Chief Justice Freudenthal, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because  I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights and Governor Fruedenthal’s support for these things really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Your role as First Lady of Wyoming and as Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming  motivates me to continue my interest in learning history including public policy. My future goal is someday work in history or in public policy to help emphasize the importance of making Civil Rights stronger, protect the environment from pollution, and many others.

I strongly believe that you made a great difference as First Lady of Wyoming.  Again congrats becoming the first woman to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming. Also I strongly believe that you are currently making a great impact in the U.S. District Court including the judicial system. I have included a letter to your husband Governor Fruedenthal where I explain how I find his work to be very inspiring to me and I was wondering if you could please forward it to him.  You and Governor Fruedenthal have really inspired me to continue to work hard on my disability and to be motivated to continue my interest in learning history with public policy.  I was wondering if you could please share with me what it is like being Chief Judge in the  U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, doing an excellent job making great achievements, and inspiring me. I wish you well to continue to make a great impact on the judicial system.
