Dear Ms. Rose,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in watching Disney movies.  The main reason I like watching Disney movies is because I like learning how different main Disney characters have interesting traits like working hard to overcome different obstacles, Disney movies have good symbolism like friendships or other themes, how it has diversity, and many others.  Ms. Rose, I’m writing you a letter to explain how I enjoyed watching Disney Princess and The Frog, and how you inspire me.

In Princess and The Frog, I really liked a story about Tiana, who works as a waitress where she has a dream about owning her own restaurant and later meets  Prince Naveen who has been cut off from his parents where he is transformed into a frog by Dr. Facilier and  when Tiana kisses the frog who is Naveen she turns into a frog which results in both of them going on a journey to find a way to  turn back to humans where they need different creatures to help them on their quest.  In the movie I really liked on how the story took place during the Jazz era in New Orleans and I really like the songs in the movie because it did an excellent job balancing the lyrics with Jazz.  My favorite songs were Down In New Orleans, Almost There,  When We’re Humans, and Dig a Little Deeper.  Ms. Rose, I thought you did an excellent job voicing along with making Tiana have a great traits like working hard to overcome her struggles, willing to workout her differences with Naveen when they are both cursed in to frogs in order to achieve their goal , having friendships in with other people or creatures to help her.  Also I really liked on how you did an excellent job singing Almost There and many other songs because I liked on how you made the lyrics have a story along with some sense of humor.  I believe that Princess and The Frog had great symbolism like on how people from different economic class like poor and rich can have a friendship or be in a relationship, when there are obstacles or conflicts there is a need to work together in order to achieve a good goal, the importance for friendships,  and that love isn’t about money.

Ms. Rose, I have Autism with a learning disability.  Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your role as Tiana in Disney Princess and The Frog and her great traits inspires me to work hard on my disability and to understand the need for friendships when times are hard.  Also Princess and the Frog motivated me to be interested in listening to more Jazz and playing Jazz/ Ragtime on the Bb Clarinet.  You, your role as Princess Tiana, and Princess and The Frog gave me motivation to visit Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida around January 2016.  In Magic Kingdom, I had an excellent time  riding some of the slow rides, interacting with Disney characters including Princess Tiana,  and exploring different part of Magic Kingdom.

I strongly believe that you did an excellent job making Disney Princess and The Frog a great movie.  You also did a great job portraying Tiana and making her have great traits. Ms. Rose, you have inspired me to work hard on my disability,  be interested in Jazz, and to visit Magic Kingdom.  I was wondering if you could please take the time to answer some questions.  Here is a picture of me with Princess Tiana at Magic Kingdom as a gift to you for inspiring me.  Thanks for taking the time to  read my letter, doing an excellent job making Disney Princess and The Frog a great movie, and inspiring me.  I wish you well to continue to act and do more singing.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
